I know my Realtor and business owner clients are busy so when they call or email and order a tour I don’t spend a lot of their time going over each and every customization and add-on for the tour.

That’s the purpose of this educational series of articles (yes, this is the first of a series).  I’m going to go over some things that you can do to customize your tours in short and to the point posts.

So here we go.

First up is virtual tour audio.  Each tour is capable of automatically playing an audio file when the visitor opens it.  Opinions differ on using audio on the web.  I personally dislike websites that auto-play audio when I don’t expect it, but a tour is different.  Virtual tours are built to engage your buying audience in an interactive way, and some nice background music helps to set a mood while viewing the images of the property.

Audio options.

Adding audio can be as easy as saying “yes” to the question of “Would you like audio on your tours?”.  All my virtual tour marketing packages include free looping music clips.  You don’t even have to pick out the music if you don’t want to.

If you’d like to be more involved in the process you can actually send a virtual tour audio file for inclusion in the tour.  This piece should of course be royalty-free.

The third option is adding your own vocal narration. Yes, you can in fact talk to your potential buyers each time they view the tour.  This vocal recording can be mixed with either of the music choices above as well.

The fourth option is professionally voiced narration.  We’ll work together to come up with a script which is sent to a studio that uses professional recording equipment and a trained vocalist to produce the narration with music background.  This is not as expensive as you might think.

So there you have it!  Adding audio to your tours (or not) is a way to personalize or brand your virtual tours.  Keep your audience in mind when making these customizing decisions and improve the sticky-factor of your virtual tours.
